CHALLENGE
In line with its global strategy, KONAMI aimed to bring local and cultural values into the game through a contemporary design language for the 30th anniversary of eFootball™ .
The real challenge was to highlight these cultural elements in an authentic way while ensuring the final output felt premium and creatively strong.
OUR
SOLUTION
In collaboration with aha!works, we partnered with Burak Şentürk, trusting his unique illustration style and artistic vision. Drawing inspiration from the nazar boncuğu, traditional Anatolian carpet and kilim motifs and the deep tones of the seas surrounding Türkiye, we created a design framework that allowed him to freely translate Türkiye’s culture and heritage into the jersey.
To support the launch, we also produced a teaser and a launch video that introduced the jersey and featured Burak Şentürk’s perspective on the creative process.
The project was complemented by exclusive gift boxes, turning the jersey into not only a digital asset but also a physical, memorable keepsake.
RESULTS
As Nunitos, we built the strategic approach around two core goals: cultural expression and community representation. By bringing Türkiye’s rich symbols into the global gaming community in an authentic way, we strengthened cultural expression and by positioning eFootball™ as a brand that respects and celebrates cultural diversity, we delivered on our community representation objectives.
In addition, more than 50 physical jerseys were produced and sent to selected influencers and this activity generated 453K organic impressions on Instagram without any paid media support. Lastly, the global eFootball™ Instagram account also shared the video we prepared about special jersey and the video gained 1.1M organic views.
